COVID-19 UPDATE

At Tiona Holiday Park – your safety is our priority.

We follow the Safework Australia National
COVID-19 Safe Workplace Principles.

  • We protect our staff.
  • We protect our tradies and contractors.
  • We protect our guests.

As part of our COVID-19 specific risk management plan, we undertake regular cleans of common areas, thorough end of stay cleans, and we provide a healthy and safe working environment.

As per NSW guidelines, we ask all guests to ensure they maintain adequate social distancing measures. Please ensure that you maintain a minimum 1.5m from other guests and staff at all times, and adhere to social distancing measures in our community facilities. 

Essential Information

Check In & Check Out

Check in is available from 2pm for cabins, and midday for sites. Early check in is available on a request basis only and may be subject to an additional surcharge.

If you wish to arrive outside of the normal office operating hours, please contact us to make arrangements for payment of your booking and collection of keys (where applicable).

We also ask that if you are checking in on a site after 8pm, that you respect the peace and comfort of your fellow campers, and do not use tent pegs, hammers or anything that may disrupt them.

Checkout is 10am; subject to availability we may be able to offer you a late checkout. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any late check-outs during the holiday period.

Reception Hours

Office / Kiosk                     9.00am – 5.00pm,   [ 9.00am – 7.00pm (Peak) ]

Swimming Pool                 8am – sunset

We also have an on-site caretaker who is available 24/7 on the office number for urgent assistance outside of office hours.

GENERAL PARK INFORMATION

Allocations
We accept requests for specific sites or units, your request will be noted but not guaranteed.

Cabins  
All linen, bedding & bath towels are provided, along with basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Our Beach Villa, Eco-spa and Sand Dune cabins are all fully air-conditioned.

Dogs
Yes, you can bring your pooch!

Please advise us that you have a dog(s) prior to arrival. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all of our guests (two and four legged), there are three main requirements for having your dog stay:

  • Please keep your dogs are always on a leash
  • Please do not leave your dogs unattended
  • Please ensure you pick up after your dogs (doggie bags are provided around the park).

It is expected that dogs are not aggressive or inclined to bark an unreasonable amount.

Be aware that the beach to the north and south of us are National Parks; there is a $330 fine by National Parks if you are found on these beaches with your dog.

Fires
Yes, we allow campfires! For the safety of all our guests, there are certain conditions that we ask our guests to adhere to, and fires are permitted in braziers only. If you have your own brazier, we ask that you let us approve them prior to use; alternatively, you can hire one from us for $10 per day. Please complete the Brazier form from the office regardless of whether you are using your brazier or renting ours.

Fire must be in a brazier with legs and a solid pan to catch all the ashes and coals. Braziers not to be on cabin verandas, under awnings, under trees or within 3m of a tree trunk or any structure. Please be mindful of wind and placement of your brazier to ensure that smoke is not disturbing your neighbours.

Please do not bring in outside firewood unless it is bagged, and we ask that you refrain from cutting or breaking trees or branches on our property or any of the surrounding national park or other lands.

You can have a fire in a brazier during non-daylight savings, except  during total fire bans or high winds (please check the NSW Rural Fire Service website). Fires must be put out if directed by the management to do so.

Noise   
We ask that all guests observe the 10pm noise curfew. Noise carries at night, and even talking can be very disturbing to other guests. We have zero tolerance for disruptive, aggressive, abusive or destructive behaviour and you will be asked to leave. Please do not allow children to ride bikes or scooters after dark.

Sites
Sites are allocated, and these allocations are not finalised until the day of arrival. Please ensure that you check in at the office prior to setting up on your site; as sometimes due to maintenance it is necessary to change these allocations. If you are unclear as to where you should be camping, please ask us for clarification. Please do not clear sites into the bush for camping; as these areas are managed in accordance with our environmental policy.

Tariffs  
Unless otherwise stated, our rates are based on two guests per site or cabin; but of course, additional guests are more than welcome. Additional guests are charged at an extra $10 per person for sites and $20 per person for cabins. Children 5 years and under are no additional charge. Rates are subject to change with annual increases.

Vehicles
Please always drive at 5 Km/hr and watch out for pedestrians & bike riders, particularly children.
Only 1 vehicle per site or cabin, unless specifically arranged with the office. Additional vehicles may be parked on the roadside however please ensure the access roads are left with visibility.

Wifi
Yes, we now have wifi (as of June 2020) – our wifi is fast, its free and its unlimited. Feel free to share all of your amazing photos on our insta #tiona_nsw, and if we feature you on our feed you could get a free night’s accommodation!

DEPOSIT POLICY

Due to the COVID-19 situation; we have relaxed our deposit policy for all off-peak bookings until further notice – payment is able to be made on arrival.  

Please note that a deposit is required for all bookings, and your booking will not be confirmed until this is received. We reserve the right to cancel any bookings made where a deposit has not been received.

Off / Low / Mid Peak:         Deposit equivalent to the first nights’ accommodation is required with the balance payable one week prior to arrival.

High Peak:                           Deposit equivalent to the 50% of the stay value is required with the balance payable one month prior to arrival.


CANCELLATION POLICY

There are no refunds for early departure due to weather or if you cut short your reservation or holiday. If you fail to arrive at the park and have not advised the office that you are cancelling or amending your dates; you will lose forfeit any deposit paid.

Off /Low/Mid Peak:

1-month prior      Deposit held in credit for up to 12 months

1-month +            Deposits refunded less a $30 handling fee, or held in credit

High Peak:

14 days prior        No refund will be given

1-month prior      Loss of monies unless cabin/site is able to be resold in its entirety

1-3 months           Deposit held in credit for up to 12 months

3 months +           Full Credit or Refund of deposit less $30 administration fee
